Suzanne Louise Green lives in Sydney, Australia, with her family and their lovable Toy Poodle, Tiger.

A qualified early childhood and primary teacher, Suzanne has fourteen years of teaching experience in New South Wales schools. She holds a Bachelor of Teaching, a Bachelor of Social Science (Early Childhood Education), and a Diploma of Education (Primary), and is a NESA Proficient accredited teacher.

After stepping away from the classroom to raise her family, Suzanne rediscovered her love of children's literature through the countless picture books she shared with her own children. Those treasured moments, together with memories of helping young learners become confident readers, inspired her to begin writing stories of her own.

A second source of inspiration came from Tiger. Wherever they went, children and their families would stop to meet him, drawn to his gentle nature and playful personality. Tiger inspired Suzanne to write Is Today the Day?, a heartwarming story based on the real-life journey of finding his forever family.

Drawing on her classroom experience, Suzanne naturally weaves high-frequency words into her stories to support children's early literacy development while preserving the warmth, imagination and enjoyment of shared reading.

Through her stories, Suzanne is teaching from the heart and turning Early Years into Reading Years. She hopes every story she writes gently grows early readers, helping children discover the confidence, wonder and lifelong joy that reading can bring.
